This is another short that I really like. It is funny, it looks great, the camera work is fantastic, the rendering is perfect.... All the departments worked great and made an incredible nice short.
Well done to the amazing Steak Kollective team!!!
I have just noticed that I havent posted this amazing short that come out 3 years ago. This short is an example where all the different disciplines fits together and even if not professional yet they r exactly what the story need.
I loved this film. The story is.... ok.... but the visuals are just impressive. my BIGGEST CONGRATULATIONS to anyone who contributed to this film. The art is just the best out there...
While everyone is doing more and more CG this film looks like a student film on crappy paper and pencils...it looks amazing....
I know this is not straight animation but it is about the state of the industry as today. Is this good or bad news? I am not sure, I know that something will be different and I can only hope in the best way.

After working at Imageworks I can say that these characters will do the most extreme poses and actions you have ever seen a CG production can create. Congratz to all the ppl that have worked on to this.
Grant Morrison is a comicbook writer that really inspired me to move on, do more and create.
In these two Kevin Smit's podcasts: Bat Bard, Bat Christ Grant Morrison talks about Batman as a living and breathing person that was born in May 1939 and still lives on.
If you want to be inspired and charmed by a Scottish accent click on the links and listen up to a wonderful artist talking about a wonderful creative progress.
Presentation by Scott Ross and Scott Squires about the state of the VFX industry. We all hope that the problem will be addressed and that we will be able to keep doing this job. This is what we all wish for us and our families.....
Very very funny stuff :)
Congratualations to all of my friends who created this amazing project.
I am not sure what to make of this but I like it :)
The talent in this studio is simply stunning. It is very comforting to see how many artists that use to work in big studios, split off, and make their own amazing work, in a more human sized environment, free of producers and distributors that invariably dumb down the product. The rule should be: "If u r not an artist, you should not have any kind of input"...
Congratz to all of my friends working on this. It is looking super FUN!!!!!
This short is very, VERY well animated. Everytime you think there is some annoying effect it is immediatly followed by some cool animation think that reminds you that the whole thing was an artistic choice so my full congratz to Masaki Okuda for his impressive work
I think I have met one or two people like Techno in my life time...With the biggest heart a person can have, those people are always so down but they seem to live the richest life a man can ever have. If you ever have a chance to see one of them, it will be impossible not to recognize the magnificent sel-destructiveness of their lifes that shines twice as bright, half as long.... from the concept designer of the Gorillaz character Robert Valley
Now is time to move and a new adventure will start.
The 7th of January I will start working at Sony Imageworks at the new film Smurf 2.
There are many reasons that really make me happy to join Imageworks: The quality of work that they have been producing in the past years is absolutely stellar. The project is quite electrifying because I grew up watching the Smurfs cartoons and to think that I might now be animating and be Papa Smurfs really makes my inner child jump with joy and, I am also quite excited about the move, because most of my dear animator friends are currently working in that area and I can not wait to catch up with them.
So, if I will not update with the lates videos is because I will be UBERfocused on work!
I wish everybody great holidays and I wish myself good luck for the next project!!!
